Established in 1878, Dalveen State School is a multi-grade, co-educational school in the centre of the Southern Downs Regional Council, 40 kilometres south of Warwick. Dalveen State School staff takes pride in its Prep to Year 7 curriculum which has a core focus on high levels of literacy and numeracy, with other syllabi delivered as stand-alone curriculum. Distinctive features of the Curriculum include knowing and understanding each student to tailor teaching and learning to achieve maximum success. The school provides innovative programs and encourages students to be life-long learners. We develop active citizenship as an integral part of the local community and map, record and report each student's progress against stated Regional Benchmarks. External surveys of students and parents attest to the positive learning and climate of the school. Parents and community are actively involved and supportive of the many dimensions of the school.
Our School has as its core values: Respect, Consideration, Honesty, Co-operation, Caring, Friendliness and Commitment.
Our responsible behaviour plan focuses on school wide expectations of positive behaviour. Please refer to our Responsible behaviour plan for students (PDF, 423 KB) for more information.
